Dr. Tami joined Herring Family Dental in 2000 after working in a pediatric dental practice in Houston for four years.  She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association River District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Association of Special Care Dentistry, and the Association of Cosmetic Dentistry. 

Dr. Herring Sahni is originally from New Braunfels where she attended New Braunfels High School and continued on in Lubbock, Texas at Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. 

Dr. Herring Sahni is married to Dr. Irvin Sahni, a local orthopedic surgeon.  She enjoys spending time with her baby girl Saura and she loves traveling, reading and cooking.

Dr. Melanie Billimek Cowan is a 2006 graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.  She furthured her dental education by completing a one year residency where she specialized in Advanced General Dentistry.  This residency allowed her to hone her techniques and to furthur her knowledge in general dentistry to ensure her patients receive the best care possible.  Melanie joined Herring Family Dental in July 2007.

Dr. Cowan is originally from Moulton, Texas where she graduated from Moulton High School in 1998.  From there she moved to Austin, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry.

In 2003, she married Bobby Cowan from Shiner, Texas, who is a web developer in San Marcos.  They make their home in New Braunfels.
